beginner adult ballet class - Monday’s 1-2pm

Have you ever wanted to move like a ballet dancer or take a ballet class and think its too late? It is never too late at Lady Bay Ballet, our dancers range from 19 to 93 years old.

All of Lady Bay Ballet classes are unique and created by founder and ballet teacher Mrs Cave. They are not graded. No dance or ballet experience necessary. This ballet class has been created specifically for adults that wish to explore the joy of classical ballet. The pace of class is steady with lots of time to explore classical exercises through repetition and exploration. Muscle tone, core strength and flexibility can improve along with stamina, posture, balance and confidence. Come along and experience for yourself body conditioning through the art of Classical Ballet.

Classes are fun, friendly, motivating and feel good.

new adult ballet class- TUESDAY’S 7.30-8.30PM

Starting Tuesday 15th October!

All of Lady Bay Ballet classes are unique and created by founder and ballet teacher Mrs Cave and are not graded. It is always recommend to come along and try our classes as we do have a good range of abilities in every class.

For this class some dance experience is preferable but not essential as the pace of class is slightly quicker and steps are a little more advanced.

Lady Bay Ballet now has three ballet classes of a more advance level, this class, Wednesdays at 7.30-8.30pm and Fridays at 1.00-2.00pm.

Classical Ballet is used as the core structure in all our adult ballet classes, combining the technical aspects of classical ballet technique, working key muscle groups in specially created exercises at the barre and centre work. Muscle tone, core strength and flexibility can improve along with stamina, posture, balance, and confidence.

Come along and experience for yourself body conditioning through the art of Classical Ballet. Beautiful music is used is every class which has been created specifically for ballet classes.


NEW BEGINNERS ADULT POINTE CLASS - WEDNESDAY’S 6.30-7.15PM

These pointe classes have been created for the complete beginner in pointe work, however If you have some experience en pointe you are very welcome to join us too. These Pointe classes have been developed for adults that wish to 'go on pointe' or wished and never got the chance, this is your time!
Perhaps you have always wanted to own your own pair of pointe shoes, 'get up on to pointe' and that has been your dream, this class is starting for you.

We begin the class on the floor, using a TheraBand we work on strengthening exercises for the metatarsals, ankles and foot. We also work on a metatarsal exercise using the floor, which is fantastic for strengthening and training the toes and metatarsals.

As well as accomplishing getting onto pointe when you are ready (always using the ballet barre), we will also be looking at how we dance in pointe shoes, this is very important as they are very different to soft ballet shoes. Working in pointe shoes strengthens your feet, metatarsals, ankles and core.
The art of dancing in a pointe shoe is something we will continue to explore after the barre through classical ballet exercises in the centre, working on flat in pointe shoe continues to strengthen the feet.
