About Lady Bay Ballet
Welcome to Lady Bay Ballets website.
Lady Bay Ballet was created in 2014 with a real passion to bring classical ballet to adults and a wider audience around Nottingham. This January Lady Bay Ballet is delighted to be opening its seventh weekly adult ballet class. All ballet classes are unique and have been specifically created by Mrs Cave. Lady Bay Ballet is proud to cater for adults of any age, ability or experience. After four successful years Lady Bay Ballet has dancers ranging from 16 to 85 years old. Classes are friendly, encouraging and feel good. In 2016 Lady Bay Ballet was recognised by BBC Radio Nottingham producers who came to interview Mrs Cave & its dancers in class, resulting in a fantastic piece that was broadcast. In 2017 Mrs Cave was then invited to come to the studios at BBC Radio Nottingham for a live interview with Alan Clifford.
Founder and Ballet Teacher
Mrs Cave began her professional training at eleven years old at White Lodge-The Royal Ballet School were she successfully graduated after five years training. Mrs Cave has over 20 years of experience professionally performing on some of the greatest stages including, The Royal Opera House, London Coliseum, Holland Park and Royal Albert Hall to name a few. All classes at Lady Bay Ballet are delivered by Mrs Cave who is a Registered Royal Academy of Dance Teacher (RAD) (RTS) also attaining a Professional Dancers Teachers Diploma (RAD-PDTD).
What can taking ballet class do for you
Taking weekly ballet classes can transform your body into being strong, long, lean and flexible. By using classical ballet technique as a core structure, along with classical ballet exercises you will be training your body through repetition and creating muscle memory. Taking ballet weekly is an excellent body conditioning class it can also help improve joint flexibility, core strength, balance, muscle definition, posture, special awareness, stamina, musicality and confidence.
